Jana J. Schrier, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

With an undergraduate degree from the University of Houston (1979) and medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas (1983), Dr. Schrier completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency in 1987 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Eager to return to Texas, she entered private practice in Temple, later joining Scott & White Hospital & Clinic.  There, she continued in group practice while joining the Texas A&M medical school staff teaching students and residents. After raising two daughters in the Temple area, Dr. Schrier has enjoyed the return to private practice at Georgetown Women’s Center.  The move has allowed her to build a new obstetric practice and perform a wide range of gynecologic surgeries, while sharing important milestones in the well being of families.  A bonus of her career, she and her husband love calling the Georgetown area home where they enjoy riding their horses and gardening.

Andrew G. Mahaffey, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

Completing his undergraduate and medical degrees at Texas A&M University in 1979 and 1983 respectively, Dr. Mahaffey finished his obstetrics and gynecology residency in 1987 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. In 1991, after fulfilling a four-year obligation to the Air Force in Del Rio, Texas, he and his wife welcomed a move to Central Texas where he could join an established practice and they could raise their son, daughter, and longhorns. Dr. Mahaffey performs a broad range of gynecologic surgeries, and is very enthusiastic about a full obstetric practice as evidenced by the thousands of baby pictures adorning his walls. In addition to raising cattle, he enjoys restoring old cars and tractors.
